Responsible citizens and armed professionals who carry a handgun should take this class. This concealed carry defensive techniques class provides an opportunity to learn and practice modern defensive techniques in a 360-degree training environment doing realistic exercises and drills that are simply not possible elsewhere. Too many people assume that simply carrying a gun will guarantee their security. Realistically, if you are not skilled in its use, and psychologically prepared to use it, carrying a handgun can actually be a liability to yourself and to others around you.
Most Defensive Firearms I classes include stress drills where you will safely move through a predetermined course of fire engaging targets. These drills are optional based on each shooter’s abilities and comfort levels.
If students cannot safely keep up with the course tempo, the instructor may have students continue drills with gun clear and safe or sit out during the exercise for the safety of the group.
