Place of Worship Safety Planning & Techniques

In-Person Instruction At Your Location

UPCOMING TRAINING DATES:

Place of Worship Safety Planning & Techniques

Violence in Churches, Temples, Synagogues and Mosques is on the rise. No matter what you call it (hate crime, terror attack, criminal activity, or even domestic violence), all faith-based organizations should have security plans in place.

Places of worship are known as soft targets, and it is our goal to harden your defenses by providing tailored training and consultation that meets your specific needs. This 1-day course will help your leadership, security team, greeters, ushers, staff, and even parking attendants better understand their role in an emergency.

The organizational leadership, security team, greeters, ushers, staff, volunteers, and parking attendants should attend (even if they are not armed) so they can understand their role during an emergency.

  1. Contact us at to book a date.
  2. Our instructor/consultant will come out to your location and facilitate a short planning session with your leadership and security team.
  3. We will provide you a template that you can use to build your security plan.
  4. We will then provide an onsite course for up to 10 people using their firearms (dryfire only). This is a hands-on course designed to teach the participants how to:
    • Recognize your threat (Situational awareness, early recognition, body language
    • Draw (Effectively present a weapon from a holster or from concealed position)
    • Move (Aggressive, lateral and tactical movements)
    • Find Cover (Use cover and concealment effectively)
    • Communicate (Use simple and effective verbal commands to deter your attacker)
    • Shoot (If necessary, make every shot count!
  5. After the training is completed, we will set up several scenarios including an active shooter scenario.  This will help the participants coordinate their efforts and practice against a real opponent who is determined to harm as many people as possible.

Note: This is planning and techniques course NOT a shooting course! The training and scenarios will be held in your sanctuary, lobby, children’s area or even parking lot. If you would like live fire training to supplement the skills taught during this course, we would be happy to coordinate that with you.
